Well, it has been a while don't you think? I missed drawing Telina.
Winter, one of the most depressing, dark and coldest times of the year. In my teen years I really despised the winter. But now when I'm a bit older I have started to found it's own beauty.
I like it when the temperature drops to around -12 to -15 Celsius (10.4 to 5 Fahrenheit), with the right temperature perfect snowflakes will fall.
And as the perfectionist I am I love it when that happens.
I have also found a new beauty when it gets a LOT colder. When there has been a night with -20 C or colder, (-4 F) the trees turns white because of all the hoarfrost. So much beauty.
I have never noticed this before because my home village often gets randomly warm winds in the middle of the winter, so we rarely see the hoarfrost. But what I heard from dad they got it too this year. Still I'm glad I live on one of the highlands of Småland. It's thanks to the hight differences that it often gets colder here were my school is.

I got so inspired of this new found beauty that I figured out what to draw for Nr 22 of the 100 themes challenge.
Mother Nature – Beautiful in the Spring, Summer and Autumn (and Winter). But do not forget that if it weren't for Winter we wouldn't have the other three seasons. And were there is cold and death there will always be warm and life.
At first I thought I would draw Telina on a cliff and looking down on a forest, but I thought that was to hard for me to draw and it wouldn't be much of a picture. It would be just too average. So I thought different this time, and this is what I came up with. I'm very proud of the highlands in the background.
I have a feeling that in the winter Telina will put on warmer cloths, though the cold does not affect her, like water can not drown her. That's the reason why she is able to walk in the snow with no shoes. *Shiver. I just get cold by looking at her. Don't you feel the cold woman?!
In the winter when she is bored Telina often do her walks, checking on the old oak trees she planted or took care of. This is one of the other Oak trees near a plain and surrounded by the highlands.

The texture on the tree is just amazing ! I like the way you gave her some warm colors for her clothes ! 
You always put small details on your pictures. I feel the emptiness in that scene... I wish someday I could see beautiful landscapes like this with my own eyes... This is why I want to go in a northern country like yours !
